There is no link with the Billekens family
In the Belgian province of Flemish Brabant lies the village of Kumtich, a sub-municipality of the city of Tienen. In this village, there is an unpaved, dead-end country road called "Billekensweg" .
The name Billekensweg (or Billekensstraat) comes from a marker post, called "Billeken," which once stood at the fork in the road where Billekensweg meets the end of Daalstraat.
The word "Billeken" or "Belleken" is derived from the Latin word Baculum, meaning stick or staff.
