straw sleeves factory

My grandfather owned a straw shell factory in America (not the country, but a small village in Northern Dutch Limburg) before the second world war. In addition to this straw shell factory, he also had a grain mill, lumberyard and a bicycle store.

Hay Mulders of the Stichting Werkgroep Oud America wrote an interesting article about it. (only in Dutch)
